This book is well written and gave a lot of details about Cesar Chavez's life. I purchased it for use in my 2nd grade classroom. This text would probably appeal more to an intermediate level class. It was not engaging enough for my students. I gave it 5 stars because it is a good book with wonderful illustrations.
I was hoping for something more kid friendly for my 4 year old. I had to skip a bunch of pages to keep his attention. For older kids, however, it is very comprehensive. Full of detail and the artwork is nice.
Interested my third graders immensely, after they'd read about Dolores Huerta.
Great book for children. Tells Cesars story with good detail and understandable. I bought this for my 5 year old nephew, but I liked it so much that I will be buying a copy for myself.
